Remember Peter--Any Ideas?

Do you have ideas for how we can memorialize Peter in the future? We would like to find an activity all of us can do, wherever we are. People could gather, if they're close, and the rest of us can share the closeness by participating in the same activity.
Ideas we've tossed around so far: doing something to celebrate what Peter loved in this life. He loved dinosaurs and sharks as a kid; more recently he loved Japanese culture. The main point is for the activity to be fun and bring us together. We love you Peter.

  1. Last year we went to the Japanese Festival downtown, knowing that the Lutzes had been, with Peter, the year before. I love the idea of an outing. This year we sat down to watch what we thought was the DVD from the funeral, but it was the audio from the funeral. We listened to the song (On the horizon-title?)-very emotional. I would love to have a copy of the DVD slideshow of pictures of Peter. Who put that together?

  2. My good friend Sandi Simmons put together the DVD slideshow of Peter and we would be happy to make a copy for anyone who wants one.
I couldn't find any evidence that there was a Japanese Festival this year. I hope they haven't stopped doing it. Greg and the boys watched "The Last Samurai", one of Peter's favorite movies. I was out of town on business.
A couple of his other favorite movies that are more family-friendly are "Spirited Away" by Disney and a famous Japanese director, and "Princess Mononoke".
